INVESTMENT CASTING

Seybert Castings utilizes a custom investment casting process.  It is well suited for small, intricate zinc and aluminum alloy castings, as well as medium sized parts.  Ideal quantities range from 1 to thousands of parts.

As with any traditional investment casting process, burnout patterns are used. We utilize our in-house 3D printers for pattern making and offer two resolutions.

Both resolutions offer extremely high detail and accuracy. Typically, a larger part is better suited for our standard resolution, and an intricate or small part would be produced in our highest resolution.

The greatest advantage to this process is that no tooling is required. As a result, we can make one part quickly, adjust tolerances, and move right into the completion of the project. It also enables us to provide a first sample for customer review.

As an alternative to 3D printed wax patterns, we also produce in-house RTV molds generated from SLA masters, and inject wax which becomes our sacrificial pattern for investment casting.
